Planning Process

Identify Concerns

This year I noticed the chapter website was not being updated. It needed to have some major reconstruction done to it so members, parents, and the community could know what we were doing in our chapter.

Set a Goal

We set our goal to publish an FCCLA chapter website, so students can use the website to find information about what's new, upcoming events, running for office, community service projects, and meetings our chapter has attended.

Form a Plan

My plan was to update our current website with new information. I would continue to use www.yola.com which is a free website, that would cost us nothing. I used pictures that were taken at FCCLA events, so they can be posted on the website. We used the mandatory tabs on the website, but we will also use additional ones including:  Chaper Officers, Regionals, Cluster, Community Service, What's New, Plan and Teach, Digital Stories for Change, STAR Events, and Regional Officers.

Act

I updated all the old tabs and put new tabs on the website. I decided to use more videos, so people could get a good feel how what it is like to be in Hermann FCCLA. I told people to go check out the website, especially the Career and Family Leaders class I was and will be in all year.

Follow Up

The website was a success. People commented on how good it looked and all the videos. I will continue to update this website and keep putting new information on for community members to see.
